A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

The Maison des Sciences de l'Homme de Bordeaux (MSHBx) is one of the twenty-two that make up the National Network of MSH (RnMSH). As a Support and Research Unit (UAR), it is placed under the triple supervision of the CNRS , the University of Bordeaux Montaigne and the University of Bordeaux . Its mission is simple and complex at the same time: to bring the human and social sciences (SHS) of the site into dialogue with each other and to ensure that this knowledge plays an interface role with the life and earth sciences. Developing creativity, intuition and dialogue, SHS today play a decisive role in all processes of technological and societal innovation. In a post-truth context and recurrent questioning of official knowledge, the MSHBx also aims to contribute to the valorization and transfer of knowledge and research results and to stimulate the meeting between the academic world, the civil society and the socio-economic world.

Scientifically structured around the project “Multilingual Territories, Inclusive Societies, Evolutionary Humanities”, the MSHBx is an incubator for all innovative projects which aim to bring together different knowledge, researchers from different universities and cultures.

The disciplinary decompartmentalization that it wants to promote is necessarily accompanied by an interinstitutional and international dynamic. The MSHBX is also a place for sharing research support services, territorial anchoring and deployment of SHS Research Infrastructures PROGEDO .
But the MSHBx is above all a lively place, open to the initiatives of young researchers, a place conducive to freedom of expression where we come to think together and think differently.
