Sandro Landi
Director of MSH Bordeaux
Professor at Bordeaux Montaigne University
Doctor in history from the European University Institute (IUE), holder of an Accreditation to direct research in history from EHESS, Sandro Landi was a researcher at the CNRS (Centre Norbert Elias, UMR 8562, Marseille) and he is a professor at Bordeaux Montaigne University. Visiting professor at numerous foreign universities, from 2011 to 2021 he was director of the “Montaigne Humanités” doctoral school. His work focuses on the political culture of the early modern era (16th-18th centuries), particularly on censorship, public space and public opinion. From a historical perspective, in recent years, he has undertaken a rereading of Machiavelli's work. His latest work ( Lo sguardo di Machiavelli. Una nuova storia intellettuale, Bologna, Il Mulino, 2017 ), has just been translated and published by Presses Universitaire de Rennes and the Editorial Universitaria of Buenos Aires (Eudeba). He is currently devoting his research to an archeology of populism.
The Secretary General
Dominique Pacot
Dominique Pacot is a CNRS Research Engineer, secretary general of the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme in Bordeaux. A management computer scientist by training, he joined the CNRS in 1999 to serve as human resources manager and then deputy to the Nord-Pas de Calais and Picardie regional delegate until 2005. Through internal mobility, he successively became administrative director and financial officer of the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies (IEMN – UMR 8520) in Villeneuve d'Ascq from 2006 to 2012 then in Lille, administrative coordinator of the LABEX European Genomic Institute for Diabetes (EGID) and secretary general of the eponymous research federation from 2012 to 2017. After being head of the PreciDIAB University Hospital Institute project, he joined the I-SITE Université Lille Nord Europe foundation in 2018 as secretary general and also worked there from 2020 the mission of project manager for the construction of the University of Lille 2022.

Executive assistant
Marie-France Brosed
Marie-France Brosed has been a management assistant at MSH Bx since the end of 2023. agent , she previously worked at the Institute of Neurosciences (IINS) for 10 years, welcoming scientists and organizing international congresses.
She was a financial manager at the Molecular and Functional Imaging Laboratory (IMF) for 7 years. Passionate about foreign languages, she speaks English, Spanish and German. She provides support to the MSH management team and to all MSHBx research activities and in particular to the axis leaders.
