The management plan is designed as a risk management tool regarding data management during the research project.

This training offers a concrete approach to the data management plan, through understanding the different parts of a DMP and handling the main tools, including the national reference tool DMP-OPIDOR.

Objectives: at the end of the session, participants will know:

• Know the principles and issues of a research data management plan.
• Know the elements constituting a research data management plan.
• Know how to reread and evaluate the content of a research data management plan.
• Write a research data management plan.

Context :

This training is organized by Urfist de Bordeaux and the PUD university data platform of MSH Bordeaux. (The training was initially planned during the Data SHS week organized by PUD Bordeaux).

• Theoretical portion :
  • Introduction: definitions and challenges of the research data management plan
  • General structure of a research data management plan and zoom on the fields to be filled in
  • Understanding of expectations in terms of description, storage, retention, sharing, etc.
• Put into practice :
  • Workshop 1: study and comparison of PGD models: ANR and Horizon Europe
  • Workshop 2: practical workshop for creating a management plan using DMP OPIDOR, based on different research project scenarios
