On November 8, 2022, the Center for Studies and Research on the Far East (CEREO) offers a conference on “Chinese Literature”, a review in half a century of history (1951-2001)”.

This conference is given by Angel Pino (CEREO-Plurielles) and Isabelle Rabut (IFRAE, Inalco).

The first part of the conference will be devoted to a general presentation of the journal: the circumstances of its creation, its functioning, its objectives, its editorial principles, its distribution channels, the reasons for its disappearance.

In a second part, we will show how the evolution of the political context has influenced the content of the journal during its 50 years of existence.
